Here’s another Silver Storm pic for everyone, now featuring: her cutie mark! I’m still not 100% on it but I like where it is so far, plus it’s hard to design a mark that shows an aptitude for ALL weather.
So working on Midnight Maelstrom a bit. Originally I had his front half as generic water bird and tail was just kind of finny. He is to the ocean like Luna is to the moon so I was trying to make him a little oceany-er while still making him a plausible Lunacord kiddo. So I played around a little with front feet being polar bear. It was a little more brawny than I had in mind for him but I also kind of like it. It makes him a little awkward and top-heavy but I kind of like it. I also figured I could work in a mild black and white color scheme which also works cause he could look a little bit like an orca’s colors. THAT gave me the idea of turning his tail actually into that of a sea krait! More black and white! More sea theme! I think I like where I’m going so far :D
Discord can shape shift into different pony forms, but in all of them he is very much a little pony. Luna likes to give him a healthy amount of gentle teasing to which he is very indignant about.
Putting these two doodles on their own post because I forgot reblogs don’t show up in the tags, oops! Anyway, here’s my two Rarijack kiddos!
First up is Caramel Apple. He’s a super tall lover of fancy things who’s special talent is making intricate desserts. He currently has a successful baking/dessert making page one the Equestrian equivalent of YouTube (HoofTube? Idk is there a pun for this already?) He hopes to open his own pastry shop/dessert cafe one day!
And here’s his younger sister who I don’t officially have a name for yet. I’ve been calling her Apple Jewel so far (throwback to that Trenderhoof episode). She’s a spirited pint-sized powerhouse who’s special talent is rodeo competition. She also eventually finds joy in creating her own rodeo fashions and is especially fond of rhinestones.

So Celestia has really been throwing me for a loop for my next gen. Originally I liked her with Rain Shine strictly cause I thought their designs could mesh well, I like kirins, and since we don’t have a lot of canonical info about Rain Shine there’s a lot of room to play there. Then I thought maybe their designs were TOO similar and I scrapped that idea. I like the idea of her and Queen Novo and their designs could DEFINITELY mesh well but idk the possibility for politics was too high? I don’t think they’d get to see each other as regularly as they might want either, they would just be too busy and too far apart. I had no back ups though. I was going to wait until l eventually got to watch the final season to see if I got inspiration at all but THEN I was thinking about Rain Shine again and got a really fun idea for a kiddo from them so alas, I’m back on that ship!
ANYWAY, that was just a really long way to say, meet my first draft of Phoenix Dawn, daughter of Celestia and Rain Shine! Possibly one of the most magically powerful ponies in centuries, too bad she mostly just wants to chill at the beach. I was kind of going for a summery-pink lemonade kinda inspiration. Definitely want to play with the colors/designs more but I like this so far! Can’t wait to also design her “nirik” form >:3

Anyway, here’s Pumpkin Spice!
So I think I’m going for Spring Melody for this Fluttermac kid. She’s the second oldest of the pair. (Out of either 3 or 4 depending on how attached I am to the fourth concept)
No cutie mark yet but her special talent will be with music/singing. She wants to be a star singer more than a farmer or working with animals but her parents are supportive of their surprisingly extroverted daughter. She can’t talk to all animals like Fluttershy can but she can talk to birds!
