The music HCS
@pumpkinhead1313 this is for you!
Kensei
-Kensei likes anything hard rock. He doesn’t have any particular favorite bands per say, and has many songs from different bands in his playlist.
-Kensei makes it a point to put music whenever he’s alone. He’s not much of a talker, but complete silence is unbearable to him. Solution? Music. The only time he doesn’t do this is when he does his paper work; he can’t concentrate properly with Led Zepplin or ACDC blaring in the background and he doesn’t want to redo the whole goddamn thing.
- I 100% headcanon that he has a playlist for almost every situation. So he absolutely hates it when people change the order or the songs themselves in his playlists, because goddamn it Mashiro, it ain’t gonna match the mood!
-He’s not on the look out for songs, but he will commit to memory whatever new song catches his fancy.
Hisagi
-On the other hand, Hisagi has no problem with music being played in the background while he does his work. It stimulates his creativity and helps him focus, according to him (‘Is that why you mixed up last week’s and yesterday’s reports, Shuhei-kun?’ ‘THAT WAS ONE TIME MASHIRO’).
-He’s into rock himself, but nothing heavy metal or hard. He favours both Punk and Pop rock and in his free time, keeps playing the songs he wants to learn. He also tries to play them on his guitar, a feat which he’s yet to achieve without someone yelling at him to stop.
-He has a nice voice, but prefers to sing in private. His favourite song changes every week, but his favourite bands have consistently remained Green Day and The Cab.
Mashiro
-Pop. That’s all I have to say (she’s a die hard Swiftie).
-Mashiro’s rather vocally challenged in terms of the singing department (but thinks otherwise). Hence, the 9th division members wake up every weekend to a rather...tuneless rendering of Shape of you or Blank Space or whatever has caught her fancy. This has led to not less than 9 shouting matches between Kensei and Mashiro, the formation of a betting pool and the whole division investing in ear plugs.
-Unless you’re suicidal, a risk taker or Kensei, DO NOT INTERRUPT HER WHILE SHE LISTENS TO HER MUSIC. And unless you’re either of the above mentioned, do not insult Taylor Swift in front of her.
