1. Why did you choose the character you play?

I've always been a fan of Thranduil (as well as Lee Pace,) and that interest only grew once I saw The Desolation of Smaug. If he'd had more screen time in AUE, I probably would have taken him up a while ago. In general, I think Thranduil is very interesting. While other elves, such as those in Rivendell, could be seen as light, beautiful, gleaming beings, those of Mirkwood are a bit.. darker. That, alone, fascinates me, as well as Thranduil's background, in general. He's wise, he's endured many terrible things, and that's all formed him into the king he is now.

3. What do you like most about the character you play?

He has a very angsty history. Where do I even start -- I don't quite know how to explain it, but I suppose his overall attitude is great, to me. He's wild in the sense that he's like a wolf or a hurricane.. yet he still cherishes family (what's left of his, at least) and is protective of his people. I just wish there was more known about Thranduil.

She'd sat next to him to show him something, but her enthusiasm was visibly dampened by sleepiness. Every few minutes her head would bob, barely awake, and he'd point it out--only to be told "Not tired! Pay attention!!" and receive a sound whack from her fan.

Still, even pure determination couldn't keep her conscious forever. The hand wielding her fan drifted down to her side, and Meilin herself slowly angled toward him, coming to rest with her head on his shoulder. He was perplexed.

"How many times did I tell you..." Liu began, but she didn't stir and he didn't finish. He sighed. Well, might as well let her rest for a moment. He didn't really want to get hit again already.

☻:'Like' headcanon

Hmm well Gareki is rather picky about a lot of things, and he’s kind of a perfectionist, but if he can’t do it right the first time he either loses interest or keeps trying. it depends on his determination level. But if we’re talking about food he LOVES meat(even though thats canon but HEY)

♤:'Dislike' Headcanon

He dislikes people who are just??? really mean for no reason. He can’t stand a lot of people. Mostly those who are too happy all the time or talk too much. Gareki isn’t really a people person in general but he’s always grateful to those around them…….he just has a hard time expressing it…..a lot…….

"My parents know."

It echoed in his head. My parents know. My parents know. My parents know.

"………We can never go back to China."

They knew he and Meilin were here together—on the off-chance they thought he took her here, he was going to be dead faster than he could say  "Like I would ever take her anywhere."

"Do you trust me?"

They were in yet another game together. At that message, Liu paused.

♕ for CHILDHOOD

He had a really strict father that was the only real presence in his childhood. Even though Atsuki and Natsuki are both missing their entire families, Liu at least has his father—even if he’d rather believe otherwise.

✿ for HAPPINESS

Not having to work with an idiot makes him happy. Alternatively, when he thinks he’s forced to work with an idiot and that idiot proves he’s capable of being intelligent, that makes him happy.

When someone can’t follow simple directions (“WHY CAN’T YOU WAIT FOR ME ATSUKI”), he’ll lose all patience with them.

ღ for LOVE/SEXUALITY

Apparently he’s only a jealous person if whoever he’s romantically interested in shows interest in someone else. If he’s only interested physically or s/he gives him the security he needs, he won’t get riled up over anything.

 ✄ for a PET PEEVE

 He really doesn’t like being called an old man, especially by people older than him. It’s just more of an annoyance than anything.

He loves tea. Good tea. With nothing added.
