If you don't know what to say about punch wizard, I'll ask things so you can!

For instance: what makes a punch wizard a punch wizard?

ooh! many thanks! The simple answer is: Because they're a hexblade who's pact weapon/patron is their prosthetic arm, so I'm going to be doing a lot of right hooks to deal my damage.

The longer answer is: Punch Wizard is a punch wizard mostly because I took too long to pick a class or a name! (Sort of like production names before titles are released, but it stuck)

I've wanted to play a melee spellcaster for a while, but I don't like warlock and the game we're in already has an int caster (no bladesinger) and a swords bard (the other really good one)-- so, i says to myself, so, let's get crunchy on the multiclassing so's we don't gotsta play a fuckin warlock.

So i crunch numbers. I run stat arrays. I consider flavor and quarter-casters and party comp.

And I come to the simple conclusion:

Fuck. I'm gonna be playing a fucking warlock aren't I?

and then our swords bard goes 'yeah but my character is absolutely calling your character Punch Wizard as a nickname because you've been calling them that for literally four months' and I went 'fuck that's really funny.' and now we're here!

Born into a clan of barbarians, the child who would become the punch wizard longed for something more. The barbarian life was fine, but the barbarians' brute physical force approach to life seemed, after years of observing it, dull and uninspired.

it happened that one day, he who would become the punch wizard came upon a weaver of spells during one of the routine raids his clan performed. using a mix of persuasion, and a very convincing threat of death, the soon-to-be spellcaster convinced this mystical man to teach him the arts of wizardry.

the teaching was slow-going. with all the intelligence of a developmentally stunted raccoon, the poor barbarian struggled to learn even the simplest of spells. frustrated and enraged, he channeled all of his physical bulk into a sheer force of will, loosing a mighty bellow from his throat.

in an instant, a burst of light in the shape of a thousand fists burst forth from the mighty barbarian, reducing the nearby area (and his teacher) to dust, through the onslaught of mystical punches. after a brief moment of pondering, the mighty wizardbarian uttered a deep laugh.

He had solved the mysteries of magic! with it, he could find NEW ways to beat down and pummel his enemies! no longer having to rely on brute physical force alone, he could now rely equally on brute MAGICAL force as well.

Thus the mighty punch wizard, Muhfisto was born! using his massive bulk and mystical manhands, this fiersome wizard will surely strike fear into the hearts of his enemies!

muhfisto is a barbarian/wizard, whose main forms of dialogue include deep-throated bellows and constant, heavy mouth-breathing. relying on his strength stat to cast spells, as opposed to charisma or intelligence. his spells are limited to those that summon hands, but with those hands he can steal, punch, batter, bash, obliterate, and beat down those who oppose him.

decades of fierce workout regiments and discipline in the art of what he percieves to be magic have honed his skills to a terrifying degree, giving him the ability to summon fists as deft as a breath of wind and as hard and unyielding as tungsten steel. how many fists he can summon at once remains unknown, but any head-on confrontation with this barbaric spellcaster has been met with a crushing defeat.

I made a pair of Adventure Time ocs! They are Punch Wizard and Kick Wizard, a rowdy pair of wizardly girlfriends who like to spar and train to get stronger and more powerful magiks.

I think they’d probably get along well with Finn n Jake, have a nice good fight for fun.

My friend and I were talking about character builds in Pathfinder, a few days ago; he was really excited by the new Elder Scrolls Online trailer, and fell in love with the idea of a lightning-wielding martial wizard character. In his head, she went from something like the high elf in the trailer to a sort of monk/wizard mishmash. Since she was just an idea, he didn't have a name for her, and just kept calling her "lightning b***h," which I found just a hair unnecessary... So I suggested a better title.

And from that name has arisen a new meme (even if only I ever think it's funny). I give to the world: PUNCH WIZARD. Enjoy and feel free to share.
