MORE SHORT STORIES! Your treat is Sooner or Later Everything Falls Into the Sea by Sarah Pinsker. This is a fun collection, because Sarah Pinkser is really killing it at the short story game. (She wrote one of my fave short stories ever, "Where Oaken Hearts Do Gather", which isn't in this collection.) My favorite from Sooner or Later Everything Falls Into the Sea is "And Then There Were (N-One)" which has such a fun, interesting concept--and a weirdly well pulled off self insert situation!

comic book onomatopoeia had never prepared you for the sounds. the flashy, colorful text with dynamic backgrounds just seems silly now. because you hear no kabooms, no bams, no pows, no socks, no boffs. just a sticky, quiet squelch.

First off, you’re the BEST because no one ever does these for me!!!

👻 do you believe in ghosts and why?: I believe there are other “things” out there besides humans. I don’t believe in vengeful spirits or any of that horror movie bullshit. But I absolutely believe that we don’t just disappear after we die and that there are things that we can’t fully explain, like spirits and energies and whatnot. Partially I believe that because I think there’s evidence for it, but also I believe it as a comfort to myself. I don’t want to think that once we die that’s just it. 

🐬 if you could transform into any animal/magical creature, what would you be and why?: I’ve always wanted to be a bird, so if I’m gonna be a bird, I want to be a peregrine falcon because they are SPEEDY. Also though, in terms of magical creatures, I would totally be a water horse because they are ELEGANT. (i.e. life goals: speedy and elegant)
