I've been pondering my Punk!Mark variant 🤔 ⤵
I definitely think he wouldn't have a no-kill code like Main!Mark. I think the conflict we see Mark go through regarding killing people happens to Punk at an earlier age, as he gets his powers at an earlier age.
And he's naturally highly apprehensive at first, but then as he grows up and gets integrated within the local scene and learns about the politics more (along with perhaps some subtle enabling from Nolan [albeit for different reasons]) he starts to loosen up when it comes to that stuff.
Like, along the line, he begins to develop the belief that violence is sometimes necessary if it's to tear down fascism. Or—in the more common case—to tear down whatever villain is tryna rip the city apart that day. In the end, one death can be looked past if it saves hundreds of others right ?

Punk isn't evil like the other variants we see in the show, but he's definitely not as objectively moral as Main. I still believe he'd be compassionate and caring in most situations. It's part of his core beliefs and the punk identity in general, after all— but he's absolutely dealt with other certain situations in ways that have gotten him in trouble.

The blue laces are an intentional detail in his design. I picture he's definitely killed a cop or two in his time, and it's definitely gotten him into some deep shit. Because like what kind of hero kills cops right?
Cecil has likely had to step in at times to somehow get news outlets to drop it. Doesn't mean he's happy to have to do so. And it doesn't mean people forget about it.
