oh boy yeah the three killers thing would b super smart and tbh i thought before i watched the ep that it was gonna b bella thorne cus shes in all these promos and it was obvious she was gonna be the first death. Definitely dont think that anymore .... (want audrey to be one of the killers so she survives the whole season SO BAD NOW FOREVER GIRL)
BELLA WAS THE DREW BARRYMORE AND I LOVED IT
it was honestly the perfect thing to do with her. and tbh i don’t think we’ve seen the last of her characters. there’s a lot of videos being hidden in the show and while she’s clearly dead and not the killer i think we’re gonna get some interesting flashback video moments with her.
audrey is either going to be a killer or our sydney prescott. we seem to revolve a lot around emma and her mother bc of her mother’s history, but audrey was the first main we really got a shot of and i think that’s important.
ive not seen many ppl that also watched the scream tv show and dont hate it!!!! do u have any theories abt the killer?

THEORIES ON THE KILLER(S)! scream RARELY has one killer. it’s only had it once and tbh i think the series might break away from the two killer format and up it to three? i’ll get back to this!
BUT BOY HOWDY IT WAS I WAS THINKING ABOUT DURING THE EP and that’s exactly, i think, what the episode wants you to do. if you’re familiar with the franchises then you’re cross checking and seeing how all these slasher movie tropes were handled in them. you’re thinking about past killers and how the show might want to subvert what the movies have done, but also keeping that spirit of the movies alive. you’re thinking: they’ve done the boyfriend and best friend, they’ve done jason’s mom, they’ve done the film geek, the secret past sibling (which btw is the only time there’s only 1 killer and for the record i don’t think the show is doing that0, they’ve done the new ingenue. but also the fact they’ve done all these DOESN’T mean they can’t do it again. freshen it up.
bc when you look at the episode you see the sketchy boyfriend and go: WELL IT COULD BE HIM. but NAH bc they’ve done this! you at the douche friend and think the same. you look at our randy stand in and ditto. you look at the new dude and YEAH SAME. and then you’re like HMMM LOOK AT ALL THESE DUDES. THEY ALL FIT. THEY’RE ALL TOO EASY. you don’t want to pick them for this reason, but also you don’t want to discount them for this reason!
who’s to say it can’t be a girl? billy’s mom. jill. billy’s mom wanted revenge, jill wanted fame in the internet age.
and the internet age is already playing a big part of this, but i don’t think for the same final reason than in scream 4. i think, conceptually, the killer(s) wants to play a very gorey chess game of truth and dare. if you watch pretty little liars it’s almost a similar starting point: “wants to unmask” all the secrets of this town. targeting specific people, but while pll is a noir murder mystery and knows it, scream is SLASHER show and KNOWS IT. i love how it seems to know it.
it knows that as much as it’s finding out who the killer is, our main characters aren’t right away driven by this. they’re just trying to stay alive long enough to figure out what’s going on. bc unlike pll in scream the death rate is probably going to be higher.
ANYWAY BACK TO THE KILLERS. why all that was kind of important aside from me rambling. the whole game here is questioning EVERYONE. even our darling main girls, audrey and emma. WHO TBH I’D LOVE WHERE THE KILLERS ala “all the boys love mandy lane” (ty natalie for the ref) but it out right plays a bit into scream 4. unless they do something with the reasons why. (interestingly i think they could do something here with parentage bc we know emma’s mom is daisy now. and we assume emma’s dad is a normal dude. BUT WHAT IF HE’S NOT. i don’t think he’s our creepy past serial killer but… dude did have a brother. it’d be an interesting almost carrie esque thing to do to her. or audrey tbh.
honestly i feel there’s going to be a MASSIVE plot twist with this backstory.)
outside that, you literally can’t discount anyone. brooke and noel and the boyfriend would be an interesting team up. i’m not even discounting emma’s corner mom. her daughter has just reached the same age she was when she was at the centre of town drama. it could have made her ~snap~. we’re meant to believe that the killer back then died, but we all know from slasher movies it’s never that easy. who’s to say he didn’t manage to survive, who’s to say the brother that loved isn’t out for revenge.
the first episode just threw all these characters out there and it wants us to suspect them all. even the ones you don’t want to suspect, even ones that aren’t on the screen yet. and maybe it’s a combo of the two.
right now i’m liking the emma/audrey team as the most WOAH PLOT TWIST. bc while seemingly the most Recent bc of scream 4 it could be really interesting in a you find out you’re rooting for the killers to live way. but! they really do seem to be the duo we’re supposed to be rooting for to get to the bottom of this. don’t discount that new dude could be someone audrey met in a chat room~. his mom and step dad have just handily died. (i think having brooke be one of killers would BE SO GREAT. nobody suspects the classic high school mean girl; they’re usually one of the first to die after all)
and as for why i think there MIGHT be three killers instead of the more classic two the scream franchises has done: it wants to revamp our expectations. we’re EXCEPTING two killers now bc of the franchise itself, so what’s more meta than showing us that bc it’s a tv show the rules have changed. after all: like the show has said you have to drag it out for longer. you have to make us care about the characters before you kill them or before you show us who they really are and surprise the shit out of us.
AND HEY let’s not forget what scream 3 taught us: billy and stu had help. also in this internet age, you have to think about what scream 2 taught us: sometimes there’s some fucked up ppl out there who just need the right push, a mother’s touch.
sorry this is a long and probably unsatisfactory answer bc ANYONE COULD BE THE KILLER and in this show i mean 100% all the ones they want you to think are red herrings might not be purely for that fact.

and his storylines do focus a lot on bravery like with the courage to not wear cover up and his no bullshit attitude with simon? i couldnt imagine him in any other house tbh ....
