Slightly belated, this is something I drew for my friend Psiten for Christmas. She’s a huge fan of both fiction about the Shinsengumi (Japanese paramilitary squad in Kyoto during the Meiji restoration) and the Punisher (marvel comic character). 

When she discovered that Kondou, the head of the Shinsengumi, wore a stylized skull embroidered on his clothes to remind his students of mortality, she requested a picture of Kondou wearing a Punisher t-shirt. (This is specifically the version of Kondou from the game/anime Hakuouki, because I had to pick one.) 

Done with my new holbein watercolors, which were a dream, highly recommended.
