A longer day than expected on Punta Anna. My first ever experience of Via Ferrata. It was a 5c which is tricky in VF terms. It took in the third highest summit in the dolomites called Tofana Di Mezzo. The descent as described by rockfax was a pretty nasty scree gully so if I did it again I would want to research a better exit. It had some fun moves in it and also a long approach to the final summit. It has some escape options which is great as we were touch and go with the cloudy weather all day thinking it might rain at any moment. I didn’t like that we had to retrace our steps all the way back to the rock window and do what we had already done. It was also a shame that there didn’t appear to be much in the way of WW1 ruins / trenches / gunmen holes etc.
Not sure I would recommend this VF, I am sure there are better ones situated in the dolomites
