PUP Architecture, 2013 Competition entry to build a 25m high viewing tower was run by Nikola Lenivets art and architecture park in Russia. A humble timber dacha (a type of summer house common in Russia) is raised 25m into the air by a lightweight steel structure to provide a viewing point over the park. Reached by a protective timber staircase, the dacha’s cosy and homely environment is juxtaposed by the elevated views through the windows.
