Platonic beauty

A couple of days ago I held a friends hand because I was nervous. It was an automatic response. I didn't know it had happened until we were there, one connected being. I was astonished at how it made life quietly better all of a sudden. Slight moment of uncomfortableness when we dropped hands and by doing so acknowledged it had happened, but I suspect that was mainly on my part. I saw how the nails which I had always assumed to be manicured were bitten to the quick.

People always have a story, a tale to tell of loss and lonliness, connections made, broken and forged anew.

Never underestimate kindness.
