Sorry if this is a bit hyper-specific, but I've always wondered whether Jim Henson, Frank Oz, etc. actually brought the Kermit puppet, the Miss Piggy puppet, etc. with them into the studio to get into character, or if they just sang with the characters voices. It seems to me that bringing the physical puppet would be a logical step, seeing as (probably almost) every other time they used those voices was when in character and with a puppet (literally) on hand.

They’ll work you like puppets, these puppeteers. Not caring about your feelings or emotions; they’ll tell you how to act, how to walk, talk, feel, speak, think. They’ll not hesitate to walk right over you, treating you as if you’re nothing. They won’t care. It’s just real how this world can be so similar. And the sad truth is, some people are so helpless that they can’t even find a way to cut their strings free. Doesn't matter what you've got going on in your life, they’ll throw things at you and add to the juggling as if you were a circus freak. Unfortunately, that’s the bloody truth.
