The plastic cup sound is SENDING ME
Lord grant me patience... But make it quick!
Fencing women, 1890, University of Iowa.
Sonnet for Aradia and not for you.
Aradia told me to make a sonnet out of a song that reminded me of her, so I wrote one. Then, I wrote a second one because I garnered a great deal of anxiety over my inability to write a simple sonnet in a timely fashion. Thus concluded I needed a second one to copensate, so I made a second one. I did away the second one because it was quite frankly, fucking absymal. Anyways.
The song is Library Magic by The Head and the Heart
Several hundred books, filled with magic kit,
Brimming with a library sorcery,
Thick texts, dust, and thoughts begging to be split,
Bewitched me with a gaze not cursory,
Shelves slotted with novel-worthy journeys,
And journey-worthy novels have in common:
Self-imposed adventures to flit worries,
Fierce longings to make others left awe-some,
What book is published lacking a plot?
What history is known for nonchalance?
For after strife comes the sunny day sought,
The cambers of we, now grown nuanced,
Such irony it is to stay silent,
In the place where words be vibrant.

The 7 Wonders of the Ancient World was a list of must-see sites for Ancient Greek tourists. Compiled by Antipater of Sidon, a poet in 2nd-century-BCE Greece, with later contributions by figures such as the mathematician Philon of Byzantium, the list remains an important piece of intangible heritage today.
Sadly, only one of those ancient wonders is still standing. So, we decided to give modern culture-lovers the chance to visit the structures that Antipader first recommended. In this new series of renders weâve reconstructed the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World, so you can see how the ruins originally looked.
1. Colossus of Rhodes
2. Great Pyramid of Giza
3. Hanging Gardens of Babylon
4. Lighthouse of Alexandria
5. Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
6. Statue of Zeus at Olympia
7. Temple of Artemis at Ephesus

energy wise I want to be on the power level of a 1910s eccentric bohemian artist woman/muse who generally does whatever the hell she wants and breaks the hearts of various philosophers and poets
