Puppy Chow Bars are a fun new take on the old favorite puppy chow snack. The base of these bars is crunchy Chex cereal that is covered in a rich mixture of peanut butter, chocolate, and butter. They are then dusted with powdered sugar, making them an irresistible treat!
Ingredients: 4 cups Chex cereal. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips. 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter. 1/4 cup unsalted butter. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar.
Instructions: Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper, leaving some extra to make it easy to take off later. Put chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in a large bowl that can go in the microwave. In 30-second intervals, stir the mixture in the microwave until it melts and becomes smooth. Add the vanilla extract and mix it in well. Add the Chex cereal to the chocolate mixture and mix it in slowly so that all of the cereal is covered. Place the mixture in the baking pan that has been prepared and press it down evenly and firmly. Put it in the fridge for an hour or until it gets firm. Once the bars are cool, use the extra parchment paper or foil to lift them out of the pan. Cut into bars of any size you want. Put powdered sugar in a shallow dish, and then cover each bar with a lot of it. Serve and have fun!
