Approaching Infinity (Complete Piece)
Here’s a full shot of Approaching Infinity. This was a lot of fun to design and plan out. I’m looking forward to cracking open my tessellations book and continuing to research new methods of creating seamless patterns already.
Its not perfect, but damned if I didn’t try! There are some small slip ups in it, but I’m sure they’re mostly noticeable to me because I spent so long with it.
I remember how frustrated I would get every time I would draw a line too far, or something didn’t line up exactly how I expected it to. Thinking the piece was ruined. But the sheer amount of detail hides these slight imperfections. I suppose that’s also part of its charm being hand drawn.
I’m glad I saw this through, even though there were times I wanted to give up hope on it.

Geometric Concept
The geometric concept is about clarity and simplicity of a form mainly based on unclosed circles and curves. Unclosed circles and curves define spaces with special qualities created by materiality, landscape, light, and sound.
