@kyousei asked: They have kissed eight times. Giyuu knows this because the first was, well, the first, and the following five were a disaster. Kyojuro's overabundance of enthusiasm and lack of skill made for intense, teeth crushing kisses that left Giyuu's mouth sore. And though he had tried the two times after to guide Kyojuro into a more practiced kiss (without judgement. Not everyone had as much... experience as Giyuu in this department), this ninth and present kiss was... Frankly, it was breathtaking. Even Giyuu needs to catch his breath when Kyojuro pulls away with a grin. He can feel his cheeks heated to a shade of dusty pink and he stupidly touches his lower lip like a love-sick teenager who had just shared their first kiss with someone. — But... Kyojuro? The one who, just recently, was still fumbling and clumsy every time their mouths came together? Giyuu felt a small pit of dread pool into his stomach. "Where did you... learn that?" he finally asks, tentative and breathy.
Tengen was such a good friend. There had been zero judgement from the other man when Kyojuro had come to him for advice, and had left with several things written down and instructions to practice with whatever he could find... though admittedly Tengen had attempted to get Kyojuro to actually practice on him, it had been turned down quickly. Doing so simply didn’t feel right ... and quite frankly, Kyojuro didn’t want to do anything of the sort when the idea of it didn’t send butterflies soaring through his body. He was so new to this yet, but ... he couldn’t imagine not feeling this way at the mere idea of being able to be with Giyuu... and the thought of kissing him? In getting it right ... Kyojuro just hoped that it would make the man feel the same way.
And he got his chance a couple short days later. Seeing Giyuu, he couldn’t help but radiate joy as he approached, taking Giyuu’s face in a tender hold before pressing a kiss to his lips ... this time there was no clacking of teeth, no awkward adjustments after their noses bumped... oh no. This one ... this one rocked even Kyojuro’s world. Stirring a feeling deep in his stomach that made him almost regret pulling away. Letting his touch linger a moment longer, just enough to allow the pad of his thumb to brush against Giyuu’s cheek bone, Kyojuro smiled brightly, deeply proud of himself as he watched the shock cross the hashira’s features...
He did that.
And then the question came. A small choked noise came from the former pillar, his smile in place as his eyes remained staring unblinkingly ahead as he processed the rush of sheer embarrassment at the idea of having to answer it. A deep blush rose to his features as he tried to think of a way to get out of it, his hand coming up to cover his mouth, other hand resting at the elbow to keep it prepped up... could a hole just appear now and swallow him up.
“...I asked our friend Tengen for advice!” the admission came after several moments of silence, lowering his hand and found himself ... well .. unable to meet Giyuu’s gaze now. He didn’t expect himself to be so embarrassed. “He was kind enough to help! I simply thought-” stopping, Kyojuro quickly wondered if he had done something wrong. “-Should I not have?” Looking to Giyuu once more, he was fully prepared to apologize...
I love that all the adults are the least adjusted people in this movie
