task 001  — i know what you did last summer

Just as the summer began, Derek graduated with his bachelor’s degree from the local university. He sat poised to take over his mother’s business whenever she pleased. The feeling made Derek itchy. With a generous monetary graduation gift from a family friend, Derek went on a summer road trip. He did every dangerous activity he could think of: hang gliding, parasailing, rock climbing, cliff diving, kayaking and more.  He managed to drag along a few friends, including the long suffering Mike Kowalski. Now he’s back in Apple Peak after a summer of adventuring. Unsure of what to do with himself, Derek has a returned to his part time job at Turn the Page while he considers his options.

“That looks like it hurts...” Millie said as her fingers traced the blue and purple skin. Without really thinking about it, she leaned in and kissed the injured spot. It felt like the thing to do. Her mother had always kissed her scrapes and cuts when she was a kid.

Personal Head canon: Uberta tried to get Bertie to do beauty pageants but Bertie always ended up getting bored and doing something inadvisable and getting disqualified. Eventually Uberta gave up.

task 001  — i know what you did last summer

Hilda spent the summer the way she spends every season: practicing her craft an enhancing her beauty. There was more than a bit of sunning herself and of course her instagram is littered with carefully executed selfies. Likewise, many hours were spent in the kitchen, creating (and photographing) new recipes. Overall, it was a sleepy summer but that shouldn’t mean anyone in Apple Peak should let their guard down. Hildy has big plans for the fall.
