Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glowing Mask - The Body Shop
The Body Shop recently came out with a new line of purifying masks and had the pleasure to receive a sample of this before buying the actual product. It resales at €20, which is quite expensive for the amount of product you get. Though, I do not regret this purchase at all.
The main ingredients are bamboo charcoal from the Himalayan Foothills and green tea leaves from Japan. Now it’s known charcoal helps to take away toxines from the body, while green tea has a soothing effect. Furthemore the mask is free of parraben, silicone, mineral oil and paraffin. Lastly, it is claimed to be 100% vegan, which stays true to The Body Shop policy of staying free from animal cruelty.
The sales lady was very enthousiastic about this product and I understand her completely. The mask feels cooling and refreshing when used, despite having minor tingling to the skin at first. I must say, I do have very sensitive skin. As you can see from the pictures, the mask tends to be mudlike and chunky. This makes it hard to put on and also requires quite a good amount of product for the full face to be covered. It is also very strongly scented and might not be for everyone, as the smell still lingers on the skin after getting it away. The best part is that the mask is very time efficient, it dries up in about 5-10 minutes (the second picture was taken roughly 3 minutes after applying it on my hand for demonstrational purposes). Once you thoroughly rince with water and dry pat your face, you are left with a babysmooth skin with an actual healty glow.
Overall rate: 4/5
Positives: - Dries up quickly - Makes the skin smooth and glowing Negatives: - Chunky Where to buy
Shiseido Purifying Mask review
Sorry for the low amount of post lately. I have and still am being super swamped by events in life in general and I’m also doing extra studies on top of working full time so I haven’t had a lot of time to myself lately! But the reviews must go on! This time we look at Shiseido purifying mask!
Drugstore Makeup Haul
So I kind of found myself getting quite a bit of items at Walmart the other day. A few of these (the two charcoal face masks: Freeman Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask and BIORÉ Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser) will be featured in their own blog posts in the upcoming weeks as I'm trying to make an attempt at removing all the blackheads on my nose.
As I've been learning a lot of SPX makeup from YouTubers just for something fun to do after work, one thing I just had to get myself is a white jumbo pencil. Though it's not NYX, NYC does have a similar one called City Proof 24 HR Eye Shadow #625 Rockefeller Center Snowflakes.
The next thing I wanted was a highlighter so I picked up one from L'Oreal called Studio Secrets Magic Lumi Highlighter in the shade fair.
The three lip items I got were all from Revlon. The one on the left is Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in the shade No. 243 Solar Coral. Which feels super nice on my lips. The middle is Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in No. 600 Devotion. And I love the color! Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suedue Lipstick No. 60 Private Viewing. I love the nude with a slight golden color. I definitely want to get more of these in the future as each of the ranges have a lot of glorious shades.
Here’s how we fall in love at Cult of Pretty: an email comes that does not say “Tips & Tricks” or “Must-Have” in the subject. The email is written by a passionate founder of a beauty company. A correspondence begins. A package arrives, sometimes (as in this case) from far away. It appears to be packed with affection for the product inside. There is a note. A carton is opened; a bottle is beautiful; the insides seems dreamy; the results are epic.
So goes our encounter with Noer Organics Atelier.
The brand was founded with a vision of true back-to-nature organic skincare, using the purest and most potent ingredients. The mission of the brand is to connect the poetry of nature with our skin, and every product is created and described in a way that can only be described as deeply romantic. Perhaps as a result of this emotional chemistry, the formulas surprised me.
