Muppet Fact #1453

As part of the 35th anniversary celebration of Sesamstraat, a painting based on Van Gogh's "The Bedroom," also known as "Bedroom in Arles," was on display at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.

The painting featured Elmo, Bert, Ernie, Tommie, Pino, Purk, and Ieniemienie.

It took about three years for the Sesame Workshop to approve and finalize the design for Purk. Sesame Workshop wanted her to be a piglet with hands and slim, but the Dutch designers wanted her to have hooves and be bigger.

300 g vöilillepäid

1l filtreeritud vett

1 kg suhkrut

6 viilu sidrunit

VALMISTAMINE

Loputa vöilillepead külma vee all, seejärel pane need suurde potti koos vee ja sidruniviiludega. Keeda madalal tulel kaane all 15 minutit. Lase üle öö seista. Järgmisel päeval vala vedelik läbi sõela voi pähklipiima koti teise anumasse. Puhasta pott ning vala vedelik tagasi potti. Lisa potti suhkur - seda peaks olema umbes sama palju kui vöilillevedelikku. Keeda, kuni vedelikku on veidi üle poole sellest, millega alustasid. Pots peaks löpuks olema üle kilo vöilillemett. Maha jahtudes pakseneb see veelgi. Vöililli tuleks korjata kohtadest, kus likleb vähe autosid. Kindlasti vöiks korjata ka erinevatest paikadest, et mesilastel ja nende söpradel oleks ka öisi, millel maanduda.
