But, honestly, especially for them. Nothing pains me more than seeing folks or introducing them to a platform they weren’t ready for. This is why First Century Writer Paul wrote, “Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.” (1Tim 5:22). This is addressed to the person with the control of that other person’s welfare and upbringing. In other words, if it’s in your power to promote someone make sure they are thoroughly equipped and ready for that very thing they want to do. Sometimes we get overanxious and desperate in what we want to accomplish that we’ll use anyone for the objective. But remember that everything gained in haste will NOT PROSPER in the end, but whoever gathers little by little will increase.” (Prov. 13:11). The right developmental process is more important for the long run. Giving someone power prematurely is like giving a dangerous toy to a kid. Remember to give people time to grow. Think about them more than your own agenda. This is one way of walking in love. An important one too. We should always DREAM BIG, but build small. Paul also reminds us not to put a novice in service to others because they can easily be puffed up with pride and fall into the condemnation of the devil. (1Tim 3:6). A novice is a person who is new or a beginner in his or her field. Someone inexperienced. Care enough for people to let them grow. Provide the adequate environment for them to do so. Love this spot. All the time I come here I encounter very amazing people. I usually take time to meditate and lounge in places like this. Yes, I find peace in public. Do you relate to that or something similar? I guess with coffee everything is pretty amazing. ☕️ Anyways, today I was once again reminded when I started Miracle Magazine in 2010. Miracle Magazine. What was it? It was a publication that highlighted stories of medical, spiritual, financial and business breakthroughs. I had such a joy and satisfaction writing the people’s stories during our first recession from 2008. Some even got interviewed. I’m a believer that we can change lives by sharing our breakthrough stories. They provide an expectancy of good (hope) in trying times. Today this young lady shared one of the most potent stories I have ever heard. It started with a very casual conversation that included her kids. Remember that children are like arrows in the hands of a warrior. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court. (Psalm 127:3-5). I don’t have any of my own so I consider myself a universal uncle. 😀🤙When children are raised to follow the Lord and what they are purposed for they will be like well-aimed arrows and not launched into the world randomly. Today I was reminded of when I started Miracle Magazine here in Naples, Florida. I would visit business owners and build relationships with them. Part of it had to do with listening to their stories and publishing them as one of the articles in the publication. We did this during the First Recession we experienced in 2008 with the intent of inspiring people to find purpose and become innovative in the midst of crisis. We highlighted testimonies (stories) of people who overcame all types of situations and came out on the other side or on top victoriously. Many business owners would advertise their businesses in it as well. It was fun! This is my new friend Louie. He’s the new owner of Fit & Fuel, a place where I usually come for breakfast and for Panther Coffee (one of Florida’s Best) in Naples. He has quite the story. First a VP of McDonalds in Canada. Than in Italy. Now instead of retiring, he’s running this place and has already created an amazing environment and high moral for all his customers, especially SWFL’s bike riders. Say what’s up to Louie and his staff when visiting Naples, Fl. When you find your gift you never have to retire from it. House trained Dingo. Carolina Dog as per the producers and directors of Prey the Predator Franchise Film. Looks like the same exact breed, just like Coco from the movie. She loves kids and other pups. Always wants to play. Though I have a pretty busy lifestyle I just couldn’t leave her there tied to a tree two houses down the road as I was rehabbing a house in Orlando, Fl. She was very content thigh - not a winning dog or complainer. Just appreciative for being alive and occasionally hiding under bushes when it rained. She greeted every kid that would come home from school in the afternoon. Looked forward to it. One day I walked her in the neighborhood and there was a line of children in the Community Center about to enter into their class. When Zhuri (the pup) saw them and they saw her there was an immediate connection. Even the teachers (instructors) noticed it. After asking if she was friendly they all approached her and gave her the attention she absolutely loves. Including the teachers. Everyone petted her and she just loved her. I interviewed a few families so far to see who would be the best fit for her. I would like a yard, children, and a loving family. With all of this I’m still very hesitant. Really? It’s very hard. I have lots of toys, a crate, a bed, and she’s already house trained (stopped chewing on baseboards). I tell you it’s like raising a daughter. She has all her shots, is spayed, and even has a chip in her. But like I said, still very hesitant so if I don’t respond quickly to your DM it’s because I’m going through my own battles of detachment. Bare with me as I’m still not too sure. This whole family is very dear to me. Desde la República Dominicana. I sold them this house last year and since they love to HOST lots of friends and family they turned it into a HOME of HOSPITALITY. Que bendición! Se siente como un Oasis aquí adentro. It feels like an Oasis. Warm, friendly, peace, and inviting. Diantre! They always cook an amazing meal too. Dominican style. Boy do I miss that. I enjoyed it immensely. I have to remember to bring groceries the next time I come by. Just out of gratitude.
