TW: ASSAULT 8/15/15 my (ex) Boss physically and sexually assaulted me in the back seat while the Regional Manager drove us back to the hotel. As much of what happen, afterwards, is fuzzy, I was never the same. Below is what I wrote the next morning. One of my few post where I couldn’t tell you what I said because I tend to scroll past it. But, I can remember how I felt and how I still feel about it. It’s changed how I engage many of my business relationships. It’s changed how I see people, in general. It’s changed me, and not for the better. #lovethyself365 #Repost from 8/16/2015 ・・・ When I’m violated, my emotions are like a 1000 piece puzzle set. It was once a masterpiece that is now scattered. As I search to put the pieces back together, it could take minuets, hours, days, months, weeks, or years. Sometimes, I cant comprehend which way the piece goes. Sometimes, I spend hours searching for a piece and don’t know if I should keep searching or just let it go. I struggle with the ‘Type A’ persona who wants to start with the border and work my way to the center. Sometimes, the pieces don’t fit the same due to being tarnished, chipped or scared. This is how my mind works. This is why I keep my feelings to myself. Yet, there’s always a moment in time when someone violates me; and I don’t see it coming. Once again, the puzzle is broken. Sometimes the whole puzzle is not broken, just small areas, and I can fix it without any help. Sometimes, I have to look at the puzzle for a long time before I make a final decision. But, this is how my brain works when it comes to my mental health. I’m not ready to discuss what happen, but I’m trying to fix the puzzle that is broken. #mentalillness #depressionsucks #nomeansno #somethingsarenevereasy #pushfightwin #DontGiveUp #brokenmasterpiece (at Seattle, Washington)
