Just wanted to comment that while I like most things you say, that your reasoning to extinguish a domesticated species because of their "dependence" status is a bit ableist. All things are interdependent, some to more noticable degrees than others. While I def think "pets" should be liberated of their traded commodity status, we can still maintain loving, and mutually beneficial symbiotic relationships with at least herbivore creatures.
Ableist? We don’t systematically breed disabled people so that we can be entertained by them. Like I said, I don’t see how keeping those species alive benefits anyone but us.
