every morning after a night out entails a heavy headache, emily is accustomed to it, but the one she was experiencing this time was beyond what she was used to, the overwhelming migraines a mixture of the loads of alcohol she had ingested yet also the repercussions of sleeping little to nothing. god, it literally pains her to be in the silence of her own room, let alone if she dares go outside into the chaotic streets, though she knows she’s bound to have to muster the strength to get dressed and leave for she’s promised two of her greatest, long-time friends she’d meet them for brunch. in the midst of convincing herself to move, she ends up falling asleep for about half an hour, enough to make her unquestionably late, something she hated to be. she quickly changes into the plain clothes she’s known for wearing and grabs her belongings before storming out the door. fortunately, the café they agreed to meet on was relatively close to her apartment, ere in under ten minutes emily was able to walk inside the establishment, pacing towards the table where she noticed her mates were sitting at. “hi guys, i’m so sorry i’m late, i spent the entire night studying for this exam i’m having next week...” cue a pause to catch her breath, which was when she not only finally realized there was a third person with them but also immediately recognized his features --- he was the guy from last night, the one she walked out on. it’s just her luck.
