Every day of my life I think about what if Delilah had gone to get revenge on Peter after killing Thad but then gets one hell of a loredrop
Hello and welcome to the first day of Pridewrite!
Prompt: Farm (#pw1)
Have you ever yearned? Wanted to make-believe living off of the land and disappearing into mud and vegetables in the countryside. Or is it about a more distant time? When young men could show up to the farm of a stranger to ask for work, to retreat to the old barn after a hard day's labour and drink a nightcap with a friend. Drink it real slow, like it weren't the whiskey you were trying to savour. There's lots of ways to run a farm.
Prompt: Cottage (#pw alt1)
We know you're what you're thinking about. Picnics in the field, a cozy cottage you can drink hot chocolate in by the fire with your loved ones, taking a turn in floaty dresses and nice tailcoats. This is your cottagecore prompt, have fun with it.
Farm
Katie was always a daddy’s girl. Did her best to behave, act polite and all that. She always asked for permission before she left the dinner table, double checked that there were no more chore to be done before she had her fun, and she never spoke out of turn. Her older brothers, Arthur and Clive, mostly got the dirty, muscle wearing jobs, but if Katies dad wanted her help she was right to it. When she was little she would hide behind his legs at church, and he still tried to protect his little girl even when she was a teenager. Tried to keep her home, keep her safe, from all the dangerous influences at the high school, and with both her brothers graduated she was left to defend herself.
Her father disapproved of her joining any extra curricular activities, even ones he approved of for his sons, because he wanted her back home every day on the dot. When soccer tryouts came around and she didn’t listen to the rules her father all but speed to the school to find her. Katie never told him she didn’t make the team, and that she only has another student’s old uniform. She never told him that most of the two hour practice is spent in the music hall, not on the field, though she plays a round or two when she can. She never dreamed of telling him, or even letting him get a hint, that she was spending her time playing in a secret band that was less than family friendly. Not to mention the girlfriend, the perfect, beautiful girlfriend that is Primrose, who would lean halfway over the drum set to meet Katie in the middle.
Her father sees her as just a little copy of her mother, same brown hair and green eyes, same freckles and farmers tan white skin. He wants to keep her locked away in a bubble on their property, but she always found a way to sneak out, a new place to hide her diary, a way to hide comfortable clothes in her school bag. He never saw the coming out coming, and was even less prepared for the runaway note she left on the kitchen table.
He ended up angrier at himself after that night, never forgave himself for hitting her, but was more than ready to accept and defend his daughter. If she was ever ready to forgive him, and he never needed her to be. He only wants her to know how sorry he is, and how much love he still hold for his little girl.
Farm
Take my hand
And follow me.
I’ll take you to a land
Where we’ll be free.
There’s a small farm
Not far from here
Full of love and charm
And little fear.
This is a land
Where we are free to walk
Hand in hand
This pride season,
Without being the talk
This pride season.
I take your hand,
You take mine,
And lead you to this land
Where all will be fine.
Welcome to the farm I say,
As a freshly painted barn
Stands nearby filled with people like us,
Queer and Gay.
The place of pride
For a rural community.
We stand side by side
And look at all the unity.
Our smiles are wide
As we see our community.
This is why we fight.
This is why we have Pride.
Welcome to the farm.
