For anyone unfamiliar with it, a prompt week is a fandom event dedicated to a theme with seven prompts corresponding to each day of the week. It's announced with time for folks to create works for whatever prompts they choose (in this case, just a smidge over a full month from posting this), and then whatever is made is posted on the day of the prompt it's for.

On the spectrum of events I've run, this is the one with the least commitment involved! You can do as many or as little prompts as you want, theirs no strict deadline, no check-ins, no teamwork required. It's mostly a fun thing to do in the time in between episodes :D

These words may all be synonyms, but they each bring a distinct vibe and unique imagery to the table. Are you picturing a forgotten piece of fruit gone mushy and sour? A body decomposing somewhere far off from civilization? Maybe you’re thinking less literal, about a relationship gone toxic or festering feelings? Regardless, this prompt lets you play with the senses and potentially explore some darker themes!
Summer Memory
When you hear the word ‘summer’ what do you think about? Waves crashing against the shore? Laughter drifting through a theme park? The feeling of sun-soaked skin after a long day outside? Whatever comes to mind, we all have memories associated with the season. We’re asking you to reminisce and tap into the wistfulness to show us some of your most cherished summer memories.

Beach Episode
The concept of ‘the beach episode’ is a staple amongst long running television shows. Often chock full of fanservice and location appropriate shenanigans, the ‘beach episode’ sees beloved characters ripped from their typical environment and given a day off on, you guessed it, the beach! This trope has origins in anime, but has expanded out of the average fan’s desire to see their favorite characters just get away from it all for a little bit. We hope your take on a beach episode makes a splash!
Found Family
The idea of a found family, or ‘family of choice’, refers to a group of typically unrelated people who find solace with one another and become a sort of pseudo-family unit who chooses to stick by one another. For obvious reasons this concept has a strong attachment to the queer community, but is a crucial part of life for anyone who finds themselves separated or disowned by relatives.
Do you see the Jigsaw apprentices as a dysfunctional family or are you more interested in exploring the dynamics of a Jigsaw support group? There are endless families to find!
Most of us are probably familiar with those seemingly endless summer heat waves, the ones that keep you inside against your will or have you sprinting for cool pool water. There are multiple examples in media of summer heat waves being used as a plot point to heighten stress or create tension between characters while they suffer through boiling temperatures together. This trope comes with built in imagery of sweat soaked clothes, cranked up air conditioners, and festering irritability. We’re excited to see both traditional and untraditional takes on it!
Summer Blockbuster
For those unfamiliar with the concept, a summer blockbuster is a highly anticipated film released during the summer to maximize profit. These movies are typically star-studded, action or adventure movies, but are no strangers to horror. The title of ‘first’ summer blockbuster belongs to Jaws (1975) though many beloved movies fall into this category including Ghostbusters (1984), Top Gun (1986), Independence Day (1996), and The Avengers (2012).
Use this prompt as an opportunity to incorporate your favorite summer blockbuster, iconic movie tropes, or plop your favorite Saw characters in their own summer movie!
"Make Your Choice"
“Make your choice” is a Saw franchise staple. Just after “Game Over”, it may be the most iconic line from the movies, having been carried over from the original Saw 0.5 short film featuring Leigh Whannell himself. Across movies, it serves as a tense warning for players of Jigsaw’s games, asking them if they're willing to do what it takes to confront their actions and fight for survival. However, for bingo purposes, this phrase can be used in whatever context you’d like and is not limited to those horrific pre-trap moments.
Coming Out
If we know anything from our time in the Saw fandom, it’s that the Saw franchise resonates deeply with LGBTQIA+ individuals. Since pride month marks the beginning of summer, we wanted to make sure that some of our bingo spaces lended themselves toward queer stories. Whether you’re recounting your own experiences or crafting a coming out, whether the moment is serious or silly, we’re interested to see your take on a saw character’s ‘coming out’, whatever that means to you!

While most of the prompts on our bingo boards aren’t saw-specific, this one sure is! With a whopping total of 73 distinct traps, Saw has made tearing people apart into an art. We all have our favorites, the ones we can’t look away from and the ones we fast forward through.
We’re inviting you to BYOT, or Build Your Own Trap, to potentially include in one of your Saw Summer Bingo pieces! Is it a bathroom-inspired puzzle? A gory contraption? A rigged game? Whatever you come up with, we’re excited to see what grizzly places your imagination may take you!
Spend The Night
Are you interested in writing about two characters taking their relationship to the next level? How about a spooky sleepover in a derelict location? Maybe you want to incorporate the classic ‘there was only one bed’ trope?
Luckily, this prompt is wide open for your interpretation, regardless of what tone you want to lean into, and we can’t wait to see how your characters choose to spend their night.
Sunburn
For many, one of the worst parts of the season is that dreaded UV index. Some of us don’t even know we’re being burned until our skin is already stinging. Burns can be painful, even deadly, leading to sun poisoning and blisters. That being said, this prompt doesn’t have to be all bad! Afterall, who doesn’t love the feeling of cool aloe vera on sun scorched shoulders? Sounds like the start of a tender summer romance to me!
Rivalry
Whether we’re talking about enemies to lovers, long standing family feuds or run-ins with an arch nemesis, rivalries are the basis for some of the most iconic tropes in media.
There’s no shortage of rivalries in the Saw franchise to choose from and there's certainly some unexplored one's that you can dig into. We hope this prompt gives you ample room to explore character relationships and can be easily incorporated into your pieces.
The alluring midnight hour in a darkened rundown castle in the deepest section of the area famously known as Wicked Woods in Transylvania. It is where the ever-so-powerful and alluring Rexen lives and rules over the ever so secretive supernatural underworld.
Rexen is the oldest vampire and the last living member of the Dark Throne crest. They run to keep the orders and humans from finding the truth about the existence of vampires, werewolves, witches, ghosts, shapeshifters, and demons.
They haven't left their castle in over a millennial, not because of the reasons that are associated with vampires. Most people believe that vampires can't be in direct contact with the sun, that garlic will scare us away, or that a stake in the heart will kill us. That is complete nonsense that a human decided to create in their many tall tales of mythological creatures to keep from scaring kids to death.
Rexen chose to stay hidden for the reason of keeping order in this world because of their status and crest. It inspires fear in some of the underworlds, and those not affected by fear are offered resources that they would never manage to achieve on their own. But the last time Rexen felt the need to leave the castle for new sights and to find fresh blood.
Rexen encountered a human teen and a young wolf pup. Prior to the night, Rexen had many encounters with this pair prior to the night that changed their lives. The human teen was not a lucky one facing abuse from those in this isolated village. The wolf pup was the teen's only ally. Rexen has always been very meticulous with the possible ways they could help this teen.
Rexen is the only Vampire left with the ability to turn someone. However, Rexen has implemented restrictions on using that power. In part to try and control the damage that new baby vamps can cause, given they don't have the most understanding of their abilities and crave fresh blood for the first year of their vamp lifespan. The original crest members for every factor of the supernatural underworld had the power to turn others, but most of those crests that made the high council are no longer present.
Rexen, upon hearing the teen's situation and having thought about their possible steps. Decided to use their turning ability to turn the teen but only after securing the teen a spot in a well-trusted vampire tribe in the mountains of Transylvania. Rexen using hypnosis ability to knock the teen out until after they have been delivered to that tripe.
After the teen is unconscious Rexen using their fangs cuts their own wrist open. Opening the teen's mouth Rexen placed their bleeding wrist hovering over the teen so that the blood would drop into the teen's mouth and would be absorbed into their system so the turning process could begin while traveling.
After successfully transferring the teen over to the tribe, Rexen returned to their castle in the Wicked Woods. They intended to keep an eye on the teen's progress but given the amount of order that needed to be maintained, it proved to become an impossible option for them to live up to.
One particularly alluring full moon midnight hour. Rexen, who never sleeps, was standing in front of their half-stained/regular glass window. Drinking a cup of fresh blood, enjoying the moonlight, not having any pressing matters to deal with. When they detected movement from the shadows which held an unfamiliar presence.
Rexen didn't fear this presence. It felt young and easy to overpower if needed. When they didn't show any outward reactions, this presence revealed itself by calling out, "Rexen, last member of the Dark Throne Crest and the last vampire with the most revered ability."
Rexen replied "Is there a reason you feel it necessary to point out the most obvious information in regards to me instead of yourself stranger". The youngling stayed silent Rexen edged the conversation on after the silence dragged on by "If you dare to interrupt the sanctity of my home and risk everything can you at least state your name and rank."
This calmness and eerier sense of peace that radiated off of Rexen caught the stranger off guard, given the reputation and stories they had heard about Rexen from the tribe they are part of and others they came across while traveling.
The stranger finally found the strength to move their tongue, spitting out, "I am Lark of Dark Peaks tribe". Rexen recognized the tribe's name but not the stranger's name. Having gotten tired of trying to place the name alone, Rexen turned halfway from the window where they could face Lark to see if the physical looks could help.
After turning, Rexen noticed that Lark had moved out of the shadows around the edge of the room to the halfway mark, where the moon hit through the window. Lark seemed to be angered, given the sneer in their facial expressions and the hint in their voice. Lark, upon meeting Rexen's eyes, sneered out, "Don't act surprised now. You made me like this."
Rexen, having dealt with many turned ones over their immortal lifespan, could not say for certain where Lark had been connected to their ability.
