Le goût pour s'habiller : l'incroyable réinterprétation de la célèbre `field jacket' par PrivateWhite V.C & Ræburn (recto dans le célèbre coton Ventile et verso fait de chute de parachutes)...
Private White V.C.
There are quite a few brands out there who make heritage one of their unique selling points, inspired by militaria, old motorcycle garments and workwear. Few seem as dedicated to keeping it as genuine and classic as Private White V.C.
The brand name is a homage to a war hero, the founder James Eden’s own grandfather. The brand itself very much feels like a homage to the British textile industry.
Their factory is located in Manchester, where all the garments are designed, using locally sourced fabrics.
PWVC is all about the details, designer Nick Ashley has not left anything to chance; the genuine feeling of sturdy copper zippers and studs, high quality cloths, great washes and cuts that would have passed muster almost 100 years ago, and that still do.
It’s hard not to draw parallels to brands such as Belstaff and Barbour.
Why?
Well, just like these brands, PWVC has made some iconic garments that will most definitely stand the test of time. Just look at the cotton jacket Twin Track, it comes in a variety of colours and fabrics, and has a unique and functional design.
We will watch Private White V.C.’s development with great excitement, it’s really one of the most interesting brands to emerge from Britain this decade.
