I have a leftsided pyelitis. And I can tell you that is not something you want to have. Please learn from my mistakes, as I will do to, and wear slippers at home and warm boots and clothing when you leave the house. You shouldn't have to endure the pain I am in at the moment.

Ureteritis Cystica & Pyelitis

Multiple, small fluid filled cysts in the wall of ureter or renal pelvis

Associated with chronic UTI

Not premalignant

Patients 50-60 years of age.

Imaging:  Multiple, small radiolucent filling defects in renal pelvis or ureter.  Proximal third usually.

DDX:  ureteral wall hemorrhage (not perfectly hemispheric, resolve quickly), papillary neoplasms (not as numerous), prolonged ureteral stenting (circular filling defects after stent removal).
