Hunger for Adventure // Yang

Who knew that dying and becoming a wandering soul on the face of a new world would make someone so hungry. From what Sorey could remember it shouldn’t have been that long since his last meal with his group, and now that he wasn’t even alive should he even be feeling hungry? Did Mikleo ever get hungry? Did Lailah? Well its not like he could ask them now, not when he.... Sorey wanted to phase out that small little detail, his whole untimely death and abandonment of his friends when they needed him. Yet everything somehow seemed to come right back around to that and he still hadn’t wrapped him mind completely around it. Blood, pain, it seemed like just moments ago that that had been his reality, now the pain was just replaced with hunger, loneliness, and sadly empty pockets.
Empty pockets did the young Shepard no good, not when the food stalls and the workers turned blind eyes on those without the appropriate coin to pay with. He was down on his luck and without his partner nearby there’s little he can actually do.
“My stomach feels like its eating itself” his stomach growls as if affirming that it was indeed trying to eat itself. His hand settles over his stomach as he grimaces, there always was wild game, he knew how to hunt for it, cooking it wouldn’t be a problem with the proper fire. The only problem, what kind of game was even in the forests outside of town? He doubted Prickle Boar were native to this region and the broad term ‘Monsters’ certainly didn’t give him any clues.
“Looks like I’ve got some time before the sun sets, I could probably catch a few before it even gets dark” the thought spreads a smile across his lips, he could snag enough food for a few days just in case he doesn’t earn any money soon.
And he would have gotten right to it, if.... he hadn’t noticed a blonde there, and she was actually looking at him.
He stares back, silent for a moment before he pipes up, “What? Is hunting wild game illegal here?”
