“Happy birthday, Lucina.” A warm smile and a quick kiss to the forehead follow his words, and he extracts a (somewhat messily) wrapped package from his pocket. “It isn’t much, perhaps, but I have this for you.”

--and it is with a smile she approached the princess. hands were clasped behind her back, chin held high, a glint of interest in her eyes. a foreigner to nohr, but a friend of kamui’s -- she found herself intrigued and pulled towards the MYSTERIOUS girl. for a moment, she was silent, as though she were inspecting her, studying her comportment, eyeing the long blade at her side ( although, she was not worried of being attacked -- a friend of kamui’s was a friend of her own ).
“ hello, princess -- lucina, was it ? ”

Green hills had covered up the sun hours ago, turning the countryside into nothing more than an amalgam of dark shapes, quiet and ever so immobile. Among them, a blue silhouette detached itself from the stillness of the big picture, pacing around the edge of a tufty forest - leaning towards it slowly before reverting back to the reassuring, star-lighted open field every few steps, like an insect attracted by the sweet nectar of a carnivorous plant.
Because trees offered cover only so long as they were safe in the first place.
The prince had noticed many peculiarities in the course of a simple day; he knew the continent of Archanea like the back of his hand and there should have been a village a few miles back where there had been nothing other than endless grasslands, which came to a stop in a steep cliff instead of what he recalled to be a mere tussock. His memories also affirmed that this forest should have been a decent distance more to the east. Or was it those faraway mountains that should have been bigger ?
Wherever he went, Marth recognized the area, but also noticed something odd about it; a small detail, a small change. That’s it; it was like everything had changed. Not an overnight kind of change. More like a few centuries kind of change. Furthermore, the inhabitants of the small village he’d gotten admittedly very little hospitality from did not speak his language, nor did they seem to recognize him at all.
That’s how he came to the conclusion that the magical gate he’d passed to get here hadn’t been a simple myth, a simple illusion, a simple claim to be the door to a different world - and that perhaps his inflexible disbelief, doubled with curiosity, had indeed lead him much farther from home than he was willing to accept. However, he didn’t feel in such in a hurry to get back - not after encountering what he could only describe as half a dozen undead soldiers. Despite the apparent peaceful atmosphere this place shared with his homeland, there was obviously something unusual going on here - a feeling strong enough to make him want to maintain a certain distance from the utter darkness of the forest.
A choice he’d later congratulate himself for, when, after hours of looking for civilization, or at least some form of shelter for the night, what appeared to be a very weak fire light came into view. Marth’s first judgment pictured a large circle of campers at a fair range, but it turned out to be, in fact, a very weak light from a very weak fire warming up a single person. Burying his disappointment to the back of his mind, the prince altered his route to approach the traveler nonetheless, not without one last, quick glance at the forest that was still so deadly silent.
Each foot put in front of the other cleared up the silhouette, traced its outline better, brightened up its colors. It had nothing to do with those zombies Marth had met earlier, that much was for sure; this person looked solid, but didn’t bear an overly muscular shape. They were also fully clothed in blue, with an outfit not entirely unlike his own. And they were armed.
The prince’s march came to a halt for a split second, while that fact intruded the rest of his thoughts, before he walked on, clearing his throat to announce his presence before his footsteps did. The fire’s creaking was within earshot, now. “Excuse me,” he started, words thick with the accent from lack of practice. “Would you be so kind as to give me some directions ?”

I would hurt you or use you. | you unsettle me. | I dislike you or you annoy me. | I would like to get to know you better. | I pity you. | you confuse me. | I feel indifferent towards you. | I would be friends with you. | I would fight by your side. | I would hug you or hold your hand. | I would kiss you. | I would sleep with you. | I would lie for you. | I would protect you. | I would fall in love with you. | I would kill for you | I respect you. | you are my family. | I don’t know you.
