They're both too nervous to propose and in the "would he like this ring?" phase of the relationship and it's lovely. their relationship is so sweet but so tragic because of Odium's meddling. They love eachother dearly and would never want to, but Odium (SPOILER FOR AND THEREFORE ANOTHER) essentially cursed them with immortality with the caveat that the only ones that can kill them is eachother (end of spoiler)

they both want to propose but are nervous about doing so because each of them love eachother so much, they have already been through great and horrible events, sickness and health, seen eachother at and through their best and worst and there is so much love there that how could they not be nervous
but despite all that happens, they will get their happy ending, and not just be fiancés, but husbands at the end of it all <3
