Quick life Update while I’ve barely been using tumblr this last month I realized how laughably stupid it is that I’ve even KIND of tried to appease the new trend of biphobia where y’all look back on what bisexual women have Been Doing for decades and say “hmm I know I’m a 15 year old but I have more authority than these bisexual women of queer history who literally paved the way for me to the point that the closest thing to oppression I can find in my personal life is bi girls wanting to be on the same level of queer as me” and try to gatekeep stuff bisexual women participated in. So like if I want to reclaim Dyke for any reason, I’ve earned that right through everytime it’s been said to me just as much as any lesbian, if I want to identify as butch or femme, that is a right earned for me by the bisexual women before me who were right there next to their fellow sapphics involved in those terms being created, and I actually genuinely don’t care what y’all think about that and I’m tired of tiptoeing around that bc I didn’t wanna get harassed by a bunch of kids who got their degree in lgbt history from tumblr dot com.

Thoughts to go into 20biteen with:

Bisexuals are valid and gay no matter who they’re dating

Bisexuality does not exclude nonbinary and trans people

Pansexuality isn’t the “woke PC bisexuality”

Encouraging a narrative that all men are abusive and all male/female relationships will be horrible and shitty just to promote lesbianism just hurts the bi and straight women who will date men for literally no reason and needs to end.

Dyke is a slur used against all WLW and always has been, you cannot exclude one WLW group from reclaiming it because you’re then denying the fact that they’ve had it used against them in the first place, which is unavoidably bi/panphobic

Just because someone’s gay doesn’t mean they’re incapable of biphobia, it’s a rampant issue in the queer community that needs to be addressed

Terfs can choke

Terfs aren’t exclusively lesbians, they come in all kinds of gross forms, do not stereotype lesbians or blame them for terfs

White Straight Cis Men are privileged and can be shitty but do not let this narrative overpower any and all support that young queer, mentally ill, or yes, even straight boys need, especially boys of color. Everyone deserves love and support unless they’ve personally done something to prove otherwise.

Ace/Aro people are real, valid, and belong in the queer community

Do not speak over one group’s voice. Pans don’t speak for bis, bis don’t speak for lesbians, lesbians don’t speak for trans people, no one speaks over people of color. 

Do not let subgroups distract you from the fact that we are all one, queer community. Enough with the competitions of Whose More Valid, we need to stand together.

noah fence no shade no tea but like... if ur gay/lesbian and ur looking at this conversation me and other bi/pan people are having about something shitty we all experience and then trans people are chiming in to talk about how they experience something similar, aka all groups who currently have a LOT of gay/lesbian groups who are actively trying to keep them out of queer spaces, aka directly causing this shitty experience we all have, and ur first thought is to send me an ask all pissed off bc “HEY we gay/lesbians ALSO experience something KIND OF SIMILAR” maybe just.. shut up.

reading actual research on bisexual teens having higher rates of mental illness and specifically depression when compared to other gay teens and how the studies show the queer community’s treatment of them plays a role in that is both satisfying because I’ve been saying this forever just based on my own experience with the community and depressing because we’re stuck in a paradox of being the only ones talking about these issues that are literally destroying young bisexuals and never getting any change because the rest of the community would rather play Who Has It Worse And has it in their head that bisexual’s can’t have it worse than them ever.

It’s actually hilarious how LGBT tumblr discourse works like a week ago yall were saying “queerbaiting” every other sentence bc it was prevalent to ur fandom discourse and then some terfs said “q***rs a slur! protect dykes from the big scary q word!!!!! ur dykephobic if u say the Forbidden Q!!!” and yall were like AH, Ive never said queer in my life and if u say it i WILL doxx u for the good of the community.
