on monday, may 20th I graduated from Barnard College and on wednesday, may 22nd I graduated from Columbia University!!!

when I was a senior in high school, it was my dream to go to college/university in manhattan, and being accepted to the women’s college of the top research university in new york was more than I could ever dream of. I have grown so much during my 3 years in nyc, and I really cannot believe that I graduated at the age of 20 with a bachelors in history, a minor in political science, and a concentration in women’s leadership studies.

I am so so grateful that I was awarded distinction for my thesis on women’s air force pilots, was awarded honors for the history department, and was honored with the bear pin award which is the college’s highest award for leadership.

I couldn’t have done it without my amazing service dog, Samantha, the support of all of you, and the constant inspiration of Taylor.

now, I’m working on a 2020 presidential campaign, and going into political grassroots and community organizing, inspired by Taylor and by all of you. At a young age, I learned to speak my mind, practice radical kindness and acceptance, and never give up on what I care about. YOU taught me how to speak my mind, YOU taught me how to practice radical kindness, YOU taught me what it meant to love and accept and lift others up, and those are some of the most important foundations to political activism. I can’t wait to continue making you proud and to go out into the world and make a change.
