ME AND THEE ; EPISODE 9 // ME AND THEE ; EPISODE 7
The funniest end credits of all time have arrived.
Ok I need to talk about one particular moment in this episode because it’s making me insane.
Thee and Peach are talking about Peach growing up in an orphanage, and Peach admits to worrying that that could impact how Thee feels about him. Thee reassures him that it just makes him love Peach more, and Peach reacts to that by kind of chuckling, looking away, and stretching his arms.
But this time it’s not because he’s rolling his eyes at Thee’s antics—it’s because he’s flustered.
Then he says this:
But look at his body language: the raised eyebrows, the smirk. This is not him being all “Get a grip, Khun Thee”, this is him being cheeky and flirty. He stares into Thee’s eyes as he says it.
Another person might have responded with something like “Oh really? Is that what you want?” But Thee is endlessly earnest, and he never wants to assume anything, so he asks, straightforwardly, “Can I stay here tonight?”
And how does Peach react? He stares intensely at him.
Then at his lips.
Then at his chest.
This all happens in a few seconds. After this he makes a joke about not having a bathtub or butlers, because he’s feeling a lot of things, and he’s trying to lighten the mood, but Thee replies that Peach is all he needs. And then Peach visibly gulps.
I love how Phuwin played this scene, because Peach is not a showy guy and he wouldn’t flirt in an overly obvious way. In fact if you watch the scene without really paying attention, you could read it as Thee inviting himself over and Peach going “Ok sure”, but it’s anything but that.
