Are You Ready for QAPI in 2016?
If you aren’t ready, it’s time to get started! Industry leaders expect HHS to release a proposed rule on QAPI sometime in 2016, according to a Dec. 17, 2015, post by Lyn Bentley, MSW, in the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) blog. She recommends that long-term care professionals understand the Five Elements of QAPI (see below) and get started on their plans to implement this process.
