#16 Knit a scarf for your cat as a result of a wave of Harry Potter love
Background on why I made a scarf for my cat and why I chose the colors that I did:
Recently, I decided to revisit my love for Harry Potter, a book series that I was obsessed with in elementary school, and a movie series that I have watched 4(5?) times.
You may wonder, what does that have to do with scarves for cats? Well, the process leading to the result went almost exactly like this:
1. To feed this recurring obsession, I reminded myself that I really want a hufflepuff scarf (but not the bright yellow ones, the ‘vintage’ ones, like what Newt Scamander wears. But I wouldn’t turn my head away from the bright yellow scarf, It would just be a little harder to wear I suppose?).
I made this edit by the way.
2. Decide that you’ll knit yourself a scarf, but only have a small amount of yellow and black yarn, not to mention the wrong size needles.
3. Realize that the only acceptable yarn you do have on hand corresponds to the colors of the ravenclaw house (Note that the ravenclaw colors are blue and bronze, but I had silver)
4. Realize that you have only enough yarn to make a small scarf.
5. Realize that although your cats are clearly a hufflepuff and a slytherin, you can still make them a ravenclaw themed scarf.
Knitting is fun! Sort of.
Knitting is given the reputation to be a hobby of grandmas or crafty pinterest-active parents, but regardless is a fun activity for anyone! I had a blast knitting this scarf although it looks everything short of good (what can I say, I’m not an experienced knitter). Knitting is actually pretty easy to learn, if you want to make monochrome scarves and square mats that is.
My hufflepuff cat begging to get out of the scarf.
Im sorry that it’s so raggedy, I don’t know how to smoothly transition from one color to another. It is so ugly.

Have fun & feel free to feed into the wave of my annual Harry potter obsession.
