Amsterdam is one of the places I could visit over and over again and february last year was one of those times. We took a train from Hannover Central Station to Amsterdam Centraal, you could also choose something like FlixBus as a cheaper option but we had some duplo dB Coupons - so we got quite a good deal. The train ride is about 4 and a half hours and once we got there we were hangry so we went to a cute little cafe called VINNIES.
I had some blackbean-hummus toast (which was genuinely the BOMB.com) and it wasn’t too expensive either! We actually came back here one more time during our stay.
We stayed in the Q-Factory Hotel, which is a very cute hotel in east of Amsterdam. Theres a few shops right by it and it has its own little restaurant/cafe/bar next to the Lobby (which we didn’t check out for some reason).
It was a small room, but big enough for two people, a gorgeous bathroom with black tiles which was VERY instagram worthy. I would 100% stay here again.

My top 3 recommendations for Amsterdam are probably:
- WALK everywhere and as much as you can, because every corner is super beautiful and a good photo opportunity
- EAT at one of the Vegan Junk Food Bars, their food is honestly more than amazing and they’ve opened quite a few stores all around Amsterdam.
- even though it is a little expensive visit the Amsterdam Lookout! It’s behind the Central Station across the river and you get an amazing view across the city. Go in time for sunset if you can, it’s gorgeous! (Also if you have some spare cash: do the over the edge swing, it looks a little boring once you’re up there but it’s honestly quite the adventure)
(bonus recommendation: go into every cheese store like Henri Willig and try all the samples - they are delicious AF and who doesn’t like the occasional snaccck)
