      HE HATES THE QUESTION, SINCE he’s being  completely honest, hates the fact that he’s the one asking, hates the fact that he’s so blunt, that it falls so easily from his lips; no shame, no hesitation, and a stark contrast to the way he fumbles his thoughts, the way he feels heat climb his neck━and yes, he hates that too. But most of all, he hates the answer to that question, and it comes as a nearly inaudible mumble. ❛ ...Yes. ❜

                                   HOLD CLOUD’S HAND!!!

      HE’D BE LYING IF HE SAID his breath didn’t catch on a startled gasp, despite knowing that hand could only belong to one person━even as his own hand curls around it immediately, tightly, firmly, as if holding it in place and preventing it from parting. Slowly, his gaze drifts, leaving the star-speckled sky to roam over  his  face as if he doesn’t already have it committed to memory, as if he doesn’t have it scribbled a million times over on paper. It’s a face he’ll never grow tired of.

      As always, his face is carefully neutral, a poker face that could fool even the most seasoned player━but Cloud knows better; Cloud feels the tension in his grip, the worry that threatens to crease his face, and he squeezes his hand softly before sliding closer, turning to press himself into his side. Cloud sighs quietly, lips grazing his shoulder. ❛ I was coming back to bed soon; you didn’t have to worry. ❜
