Sometimes I’m just minding my own business scrolling through my art inspo library and remember qinni art and am immediately devastated. I followed her for a long time and her medical struggles. That girl just went through so much and she kept creating the whole time. Truly a legend qinni I will never forget you

A late tribute to an artist I love who unfortunately passed away recently: Qing Han

I’m sad to see that Qinni never realized her last wishes to make an art book or make more art. It makes me feel grateful I have the health I do to continue living and making art and memories. Often times life is cruel and events like these happen.

I hope you can rest without the burden of pain Qing Han. May you rest peacefully amongst the stars.

I felt kind of sick when I heard the news and I wanted to draw something right away but the Art Said No at the time. . First time trying watercolors and honestly I love them. 🌟Galaxies for Qinni🌟 . I remember seeing her art for the first time in 2010. And it. blew. me. out. of. this. world. and into the stars. . I was a fan from that point on. She had this raw, creative talent that was uniquely hers. Her admiration of the night sky matched my own so she became a source of inspiration. It always brings me joy to see her magical art. . It slowly broke my heart to see the painful ones. They were so real. Then, I found out about her struggles with her health, and that made them even more raw, yet beautiful. Most are embellished with hope. . When I saw the news, I couldn’t believe it. I thought it had to be some cruel internet joke. But no. It was real. And my heart shattered. . It's been amazing to witness her fans come together and mourn such a bright star. She touched so many lives. I knew I wanted to be a part of #galaxiesforqinni to honor her memory and her legacy. . She shared her own light freely with the world and caused a ripple effect among us. She impacted our lives and made us feel something. And to such a degree she was probably unaware of. . You, dear reader, impact others by sharing your light the same way. You change the world with your presence. There are many others you've helped along your journey, whether it was through your talents, presence, or kindness. And to such a degree you are probably unaware of. . I've contemplated on my own influence in the world and how I want to leave people feeling the same way Qinni did. Thank you, @qinniart, for being an inspiration in more ways than one. . I felt this quote from the ‘The Little Prince’ was fitting for such a celestial artist: . “ You - you alone will have the stars as no one else has them. In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night. Qinni 🎼Ai No Senshi 👰🏻 @qinniart #galaxiesforQinni _____________ I’m brought back to Qinni mentioning off-handedly how she didn’t want to die a virgin, whilst i can’t really draw that, I imagined her as a bride instead in this illustration. It took me quite a while on train rides to finish this entry for Qinni. Even though it’s unlikely anyone may read this: My condolences to Qinni’s family, thank you for Qinni’s life. She has touched so many fans and artists around the world with her attitude, her art and her life. Thank you. As someone too cowardly to actually step out on a leap of faith to take my art into my own hands and draw for a living, I always looked at Qinni as an inspiration. "Fishes and Stars" -a Qinni Tribute . . Qinni has been a great part of my art journey. She's been a great inspiration and influence on some of my not so normal old pieces, especially with traditional art and with glow and galaxy effects. She's one of my favorite traditional artists of today. @qinniart . She was a beautiful person inside and out, quirky personality and a talented artist. I'll probably won't get over her death but hopefully she is now in a better place.
