Summary: Quackity’s jaw was set, and he was pale in a way Techno wasn’t sure stemmed from blood loss or cold. “Las Nevadas isn’t fucking little, dumbass,” he said. The point of the sword was wavering. “Get away, I don’t want you here.”

Techno could smell blood and the home-like scent of spruce over ice from the forest around him, and a distracting layer underneath it, resin and something warmer. His horse shifted under him, restless, and he ran a gloved hand over In n’ Out’s neck. “You see, Quackity, that’s gonna be a bit of a problem. These aren’t your woods. You don’t get to tell me to leave.”

“Don’t care,” Quackity bit out. Despite being pale, there was a flush on his cheeks that looked like fever. That was a bad sign. The point of the sword had fallen, and he jerked it up again, pointing it towards Techno. “Don’t come any closer, I’ll—I’ll fuck you up.”

Techno thought about indicating the full netherite he was in versus Quackity’s complete inability to pose a threat, but that warm scent was biting at his mind, something he had to identify. It meant danger, or problem, or—“Quackity,” he said in horror, “Did you come out to die in my woods because you were in heat?”

Chat exploded.
