spoiler free qruppo/nukitashi rant below:
susuko/hinami append cleared, i think susuko append is better than a lot of the routes in nukitashi 2 and blows yamagishi append out of the water (not because of the quality but because it's an actual route instead of just an excuse to make jokes for another hour)
hinami append is so fucking stupid why write an entire extra route just for a raincoat fetish scene
with that, i have now read every single bit of qruppo visual novel content translated or untranslated
i'm still excited for the nukitashi anime OVAs just because i'm curious what they will be about (please god let one be an abridged misaki route from nukitashi 1 or ikuko route from nukitashi 2). also learning pussy galore's identity probably would've added to my enjoyment of the anime but whatever.
it's hard not to love qruppo and i'm not sure how anyone who likes eroge as a medium could dislike their work.
for their next game, i want something either as goofy as the goofiest points of nukitashi (ikuko/misaki route) or as dark as the darkest parts of henpri (no spoilers lol). like heroines dying and shit (at least in bad ends or something). i want MORE Chisato routes and Misaki routes and less Noah routes and Hinami routes. they have proven themselves to be massively improved at character writing that the sky is truly the limit for their next game.
This is probably wishful thinking but I want more male support characters. I want more Teshimas and Joujis. I want a male character who is a PEER but is less boring than Schubert or Ozawa. translation: I want them to write an Iizuka Takeya from White Album 2, the platinum standard for male friend characters
Do I think they could write a 4th game in the nukitashi universe? Yes... but I hope they don't. I think they've explored the themes of that universe to its logical conclusion. They clearly love mecha and toku so why not lean into it?
