Hi, I’m A.D. 🐻‍❄️, and I would like to welcome you to this brave new era within the Minecraft community!

The QSMP 2 is the world’s second multilingual Minecraft server, home to creators from all over the globe! Don’t ask what happened to the first one!

This season, we are overjoyed to announce that there will be 10 languages represented on the server! This is an increase from the five languages from the last season, one of which was Korean; just ignore that the Korean members of the server weren’t banished to the early hours of the American morning and unable to play some days due to a lack of admins able to open the server for them, and pretend this testimony from the only Korean-speaking admin doesn’t exist!

There are 10 languages this season, meaning that there will be tons of creators, maybe even some of your favorites! (Just, you know… not anyone who isn’t famous. Or one of Quackity’s friends.)

Speaking of creators, guess who was present for the announcement trailer! That’s right, Mr. Beast himself!

Now, you might have heard about all these “workplace” “abuse” “allegations” from the last season, and I would like to say that there is no proof that any of that occurred! At all! If there is, it doesn’t exist, and if you bring it up, you’re racist and, worse, a hater.

Just ignore the countless former admins speaking out, the investigation into Q Studios by a foreign labor union, and the literal laws being broken. None of that is real, and, if you say it is, you literally suck and should probably see a psychiatrist idk

Any rumors of workplace abuse, workplace-specific xenophobia and sexism, for-profit volunteer work, internal mismanagement of funds, and mistreatment of employees are STUPID and DUMB! If you see anyone talking about any of this, tell them to kill themselves! Now!

With 10 languages being represented, there will be fans watching the QSMP 2 from all over the globe! Xenophobia is NOT allowed. If you see any, it cannot be from anyone watching the QSMP 2 because Quackity says so.

(Just pretend that a majority of the French and Brazilian fans from the last server were bullied out of the fandom by users with Quackity’s face/name as their icon and bio on twitter dot com, and that a prominent Brazilian creator wasn’t forced to come out of the closet by toxic qsmp fans so upset that a Brazilian was up for an award that they teamed up with that creator’s abusive ex. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a qsmp fan from Brazil these days do the sheer amount of racial slurs they were called by the Hispanic qsmp community, many of whom came from Quackity’s own fandom. And, when all of this was brought up to him, Quackity responded with, “Well, they aren’t really qsmp fans.”, before doing a Valentine’s Day stream with Foolish.)

The QSMP 2 drops in two weeks on March 14! None of the entirely fictional workplace abuse rumors have ever been apologized for, and previous employees have not been paid what they are owed. There are no signs that working conditions behind the scenes have improved, and, if anything, the fact that there has been radio silence on something as egregious as actual violations of international labor laws is a potential sign of bad things to come. If you’re going to watch this server, keep in mind the horrific things former employees and admins were forced to endure, and-

QSMP 2 thoughts...

I keep writing and deleting posts cause honestly I am so confused about the whole thing, there are so many nuances and layers I feel overwhelmed.

I wish I could feel excitement in good conscience for this project, the idea of the original server is still so special to me with how full of life and love it felt, happenstances lead to old friendships being rekindled or new ones made all in defence of npcs that were only ever meant to be temporary then became the lifeblood of that server. That server became what it did due to the often volunteer admins who gave their everything to be part of the project, it ran because there were people we never saw who kept the server running despite it being a thankless, stressful and often unpaid position.

QSMP 2 should be something I feel hyped for especially with all the MCYT creators joining back that I truly enjoyed the interactions between like Phil, Tubbo, Foolish, Fit, Pac, Tina, Mike…and more to come I am sure. Those who have been with me for a good long time know I have a couple duos in particular I am always excited to see on servers together between Veterans Duo, Morning Crew, Hideduo, Undying Duo and many more.

But every time I try to muster up any type of excitement I am reminded the admin's situation was never rectified publicly nor has it been proven this second iteration will be any different, and I am angry about this. I have been that background worker who never got their thanks but kept something going long after it should have stopped functioning. I see everyone celebrating the server's return but part of me will always be bracing waiting for the fallout as it feels already shaky built on the back of problems & inconsistencies that never felt truly put to rest.

Between the clumsy making of the announcement posters, skipping even the bare minimum of background checks, adding creators with conflicting & questionable morals to what is supposed to be a safe & inclusive space…I hold many concerns surrounding how organised this launch even is because there are still issues from the first I feel should be resolved on top of what has happened with these latest announcements.

How difficult is it to take some time to ensure this project you have put everything into doesn't crash and burn before launch? How hard are a few simple google searches to be positive those representing your server reflect the morals you want to put forth into the world?

Maybe I will tune into a few streams here and there, as I mentioned earlier a good majority of the people I watch on twitch are involved between Phil, Foolish, Tubbo, Pac & Fit thus far, but even if I do its with a healthy amount of seperation cause I fear for the future of this project with how messy it has already proven to be. As a counterpoint my faith has been restored a bit with what I have seen Phil say (clip on twitter), as well as despite how much I disagree with Pierre and some of the things he has done, he was one of the ccs I remember being outspoken about the conditions the admins worked under and if he agreed to come back again…hopefully thats a sign something has changed?

I'm only human and I do desperatley and completley miss QSMP 1, it was so special with so many fun creators I got to meet and those who I was already watching building wonderful stories and even simple hanging out streams. I miss having that writing inspiration and still have several fanfics involving those characters posted on my AO3, including a few WIP I want to eventually finish using story points from QSMP 1.

But as a counterpoint to my nostalgia, I also hope the framework is better this time around, I want to be able to give it a second chance to bloom into even half of what the first one was. That server found and comforted me at a time in my life when I was questioning a lot, having a stream to watch back after work when I just needed a break from the world was so wonderful. The dynamics that developed created content I very much enjoyed and am crossing my fingers will continue even if this project falls apart again.

We shall see. At least if anything I have found other MCYT content I enjoy these days and have more absolute faith they will prosper as any issues that happened with them were handled swiftly and in a respectable manner. If only that was the industry standard…

(Previous admins, I am so sorry about everything you are facing with this situation and I have never forgot how it was treated, even if it is desperate I want the issues from the first resolved still. It was never fair or just how you were perceived and had to fight for something that should have been a right with how hard you worked. Please take care of yourselves and a thousand more thanks you you with how much you endured for things to still be so unsure.)

i woudl like to point out how ironic this qsmp season has been.

i remember quackity sauying that the second qsmp would be focusing more on culture change and bringing ppl together. ISNT. IT. IRONIC.. that the ppl are actually more divided than EVER rn.

not only there being factions this season, but there being war, people griefing builds, the fandom being more toxic this time around.. ironic. even with ccs logging on more often, solely to js do rp and lore rather than casual hanging out ( which isnt necessarily a bad thing per-say, since the last server did have a bunch of lore and stuff, but thats js going against what big q had initially said/tried to aim for before the second season had started </3 )

i dont htink there was much division with the islanders last season compared to this one. back then, the most division there was would js be territory/places around the island. idkidk i js thought that was interestingyeus thank you for coming to my ted talk ok EDIT: worded my words to be more wordful i think

The ex-admin for Dansir, Lapin, and Sk8ter (a penguin) came out on Twitter with her experience as a QSMP admin and it’s very grim. The user is @/Leasagne_ on Twitter.

I’m gonna try my best to translate from French :

1st Tweet : « Imagine having the first multilingual minecraft server in the world and paying your staff 150€/month and threatening to sue them if they complain. »

2nd Tweet: «  «You signed an NDA blablabla if you speak we’ll sue you. » Yeah Yeah, sure. They think they can gift me a toy and i’ll forgive them and shut my mouth. They don’t know who they are facing »

3rt Tweet : Talking about the NPC she played « Dansir, Tototte, my version of Cucurucho and Lapin won’t come back. Enough of treating people who give a lot of themselves like trash »

She then tweeted art she made for QSMP that she hasn’t been paid for. This include for exemple a Rose drawing, a Lucy drawing and the Techno fanart from Dia de los muertos event.

4th tweet : « Everyone is burnt out in their entreprise but it’s not a problem bc no one can talk or they risk getting sued. »

She then make a serie of tweets explaining why they got fired : « During a stream, Aypierre leaked my name, thanks dude, they saw that i was talking to him on discord, which is a FORBIDDEN THING. I was then accused of leaking things to him, bc on the screenshot, i was talking about DDOSon the server which is considered sensitive information. There was then an investigation on me, which i said was useless as I didn’t have anything to hide and was ready to answer all their questions. I admitted not following the rules (btw it’s forbidden to have chatrooms BETWEEN ADMINS, that’s why I wasn’t following the rules). We aren’t allowed to talk to streamers out of stream, but everyone does it i was just caught doing it. »

She also added some more stuff

-Saying that they were only TWO french admins (the other being Pomme’s) and OP had to do all the translations of QSMP newspapers, as well as adding articles on french CCs as they had been forgotten.

-Said that Empanada wasn’t supposed to be killed that day, it was an accident.

-Said that Pomme’s death, which was reversed, was forced so that « Baghera would have a tragic reaction »

-Said that the QSMP admin staff are all wonderful people with good dynamics, higher ups are the problem.

-Said that she believes Quackity isn’t aware that this is happening.

-Said that now QSMP ccs are aware that this is happening and want to discuss it with the admins.
