Etho groaned, dropping his head into his hands. “Leave me alone.”
Quackity cackled, throwing his arm around his shoulders. “Oh come on Etho, this is for the best!”
Etho shoved him away. “And it’s temporary. I hope you get crushed next round.”
Quackity toppled off the bench. “Aye man, what the fuck?! Do you want my help or not?”
He grumbled, propping his head up on his hand. The poll bar was slowly ticking towards his favor, so unfortunately he did need the help. Not to say he couldn’t complain about the scantily-clad kid. He’d unbuttoned his shirt all the way down and ditched his pants at some point—he was starting to understand how Grian felt during Third Life.
“Just for this round. Just for this round. Just for this round—” he muttered through his teeth.
Quackity jumped to his feet as a crowd started to gather. He chucked his shirt off and—Etho couldn’t watch. Nope. He wasn’t watching.
There were wolf whistles and cheering, and Etho wanted to be anywhere else. The hermits weren’t going to let him live this down.
Quackity grabbed his arm and dragged him to stand. “C’mon, man! Lighten up! We’re winning!”
He huffed, trudging to the front of the stage next to him. “Vote Quackity…” he mumbled.
Quackity drew a gun—wait where the fuck did he get a gun?!
“Vote Etho! Hashtag Ethosweep!” he yelled, pulling the trigger. A Mexican flag flew out—oh thank god it wasn’t a real bullet.
He propped an elbow on Quackity’s head. Okay, maybe this wasn’t so bad.
“Hey, Quackity, uh, you’re a dancer, right?” he asked.
Quackity lit up. “God didn’t grace me with the fattest ass on my server just for me not to shake it. What’cha suggesting, king?”
He giggled. “Do you want a song to dance to? I think Careless Whispers would make this, actually.”
He bounced on his toes. “Yes! Oh my god, that sounds fantastic!”
Quackity playfully punched his shoulder as he pulled out his redstone box.
“Can we get an #Ethosweep in the chat for this guy?” Quackity yelled into the ether. “Putting in the work!”
Quackity quickly threw up a pole as Etho dug beneath the stage. If he had to work with this guy, he could at least make it fun.
