Anyways I’ve been thinking about Fragmented nonstop recently, and I was wondering if our Nintendo switch looking fellow could glitch into Sans’ that aren’t from a standard Undertale timeline, or aren’t really Sans, like Fresh or Nightmare.

He could come in clutch in a battle against nightmare if he glitches into dream lol

But to answer your question.. maybe!

Maybe he can, maybe he can’t! You’ll have to see how his story unravels to know for sure 😉

But just know that his glitches are random and uncontrolled, and that they have different impacts depending on who he glitches into! So it would be interesting to see him in a conflict with something like Nightmare hehe

Does Fragment Sans inherit the personalities of alternate versions of himself? If so, is it a temporary or permanent thing? Have any of them had a strong impact on him?

Yep! Fragment does inherit some of the personality of the version he’s glitched into. It’s temporary and varies between alternative selves.

For example! If he were to glitch into Fell, he’d be irritable and more closed off (and have a slight craving for mustard). Fragment would also be prone to attack more than usual.

Because of him inheriting personalities, those with a stronger personality would have a pretty bad impact on him. Personalities like Dust for example, would really throw in a crunch for the duration he’s glitched into him for (which is ~20 minutes.)

Even if it’s not permanent, each experience and each glitch does impact him after he’s back to normal. It’s especially difficult since he remembers most of his experiences when glitched.

Is reminding everyone he's not William part of UCN's Springtrap's day by day?

Oh 100000% it is.

That’s because he had made it a habit to make that distinction when he first came to being in UCN. It’s gotten much more repetitive now tho, since Charlie is back.

UCN Springtrap absolutely HATES being compared to Willam. He sees himself as JUST Springtrap, and works the best he can to keep that separation large.

Anyways, if he (them? i'm assuming his pronouns are whatever he's glitched into) glitched into a sans that was merged with another person (like sixbones the amalgamate, or sans serifm and the human souls), would mento glitch into the entire person, or just the sans part—if he could glitch into them at all.

And one more question if you don't mind- would he literally just die instantly if mento glitched into Geno (save screen), or any other currently dying sans?

HI AGAIN!! I love answering your guy’s questions, so don’t feel bad about asking them! I am super happy to hear you’re interested in this au, and in Fragment (sans) 😭

But to answer your first question, no, Fragment can’t glitch into versions of himself that are fused with someone. This is because that would require the second counter part to exist and glitch with him at the same time. However.. just because HE can’t glitch into the amalgamation, doesn’t mean something else can’t :)

To answer your second question, no, Fragment wouldn’t die glitching into a dying Sans because technically he isn’t the one dying (if that makes sense?) Instead of dying, his body would be in an immense amount of pain and when he glitches out of it he will need a few days to recover. By recover, I mean he will be asleep for more than 3 days. Additionally, he will be much weaker for a while after waking up because of his body not being used to the changes. He also makes up not being able to die, by feeling everything they felt. Their emotions, their pain, their memories (which resonate as a distant feeling of familiarity). Sure it doesn’t kill him, but sometimes they make him wish he were dead (especially when he glitches into them for the first time.)

First off, I wanna say I love your art and AU! Like, I’m already invested into it lol.

As for a question about your AU, when Fragment turned into Handplates Sans, he felt dread looking at the handplate. Does he get any of the memories and/or feelings/urges of the Sanses he glitches into?

Like say, for example, he somehow managed to turn into a variant of my Sans AU, Soul Eater, (or, like, any of the Bad Sanses really, like Killer or Dust) would he start feeling the same urges to try to attack anyone or eat their soul or anything?

(Plz don’t mind my sharing my own AU, sorry 👉👈)

But yeah! Like mentioned before, he does pick up slight personality traits whenever he’s glitched into a version of himself (ex. He might be more irritable, or energetic, or gentle, ect.) In certain circumstances, yeah, he’ll get memories of some. But that would usually happen while he’s taking a nap, tho. However because of that, they bb sometimes cause him to have nightmares (depending on the Sans he is.)

If he were to glitch into Dust, Killer, or Soul Eater, them being pretty strong on their own would have a massive impact on Fragment. He would have thoughts and urges, but wouldn’t want to act them out (especially in front of Papyrus/Fracture). He knows those aren’t his own thoughts, and honestly turning into one of them takes a toll on him. He’d probably stay away from everyone when he’s like that. Glitching back to normal would leave him in pain ngl (especially from a version with a cracked skull), and extremely fatigued (glitching back from being Dust made him sleep for 2 days straight at one point)
