09.11.18 — Finally completed both hands (well, with symmetry) of the Jill rig!! Doing the thumb turned out to be a bit more tricky than i’d first anticipated, as I’d already connected the faces of the actual hand together- so i had to delete these and open the topology back up again to fit the thumb in. I was a bit concerned there would end up being pinching around it, but I managed to fiddle with the width of the quads around the wrist to slim them down and made space for the quads that would connect the thumb, instead of getting stuck with a tri! i’m pretty happy with how they look so far and i’m enjoying drawing it out, even if maya is frustrating at times (the amount of times something has clipped through another object when trying to extend it...). I just hope it works well as a functional rig!
