favorite thing about this quadcast episode is listening to max's little interjections as lando is speaking, the hums of affirmation and the moments when he quietly provides a word or finishes his sentence or just fills in a blank for him. the fondness radiating through the screen. when it cuts to max & izzy's side of the room and max is just cheshire-cat grinning at lando. like exhibit a:

izzy: can i ask you some non-racing questions? lando: yeah! that's the best, let's get into some non-racing questions. izzy: ...do you actually like cars? max and lando: *start laughing* izzy: 'cause i get the feeling that some f1 drivers like f1 driving but are not that bothered about cars, like normal cars lando: yeah. um, i love cars. izzy: like, so much. lando: yes. izzy: how many cars do you have? lando: *laughing* ...too many izzy: roughly. ballpark figure. lando: uhh... max: i think three arrived today didn't they? lando: um... i sold some recently! so, number's gone down. izzy: well done. lando: 'well done,' thank you. um... i'm gonna sound— izzy: i don't love how much you're struggling with this! lando: i'm gonna sound like an idiot! max: *stage whispers* take 5 off, it's fine lando: okay. uhh... 16? izzy: shut up! lando: *laughing* i don't wanna come across like a... izzy: yeah but you love them, like. it's like collecting shoes. max: i don't think i've even got 16 pairs of socks! izzy: i mean i've got 4, and i thought that was pretty good. lando: you've got 4 cars? there you go!
