Not only did we know a lot of super rad people who had booths presenting their art but I got asked to be on the crowdfunding panel to talk about our Kickstarter experience. I was joined by Chelsea Christer of Doctor Whodlums / Bleeding Audio, David Hellman of Braid / Second Quest, and Russell Nohelty jumped on last minute to talk about his campaigns.
It was a fun panel and I think we answered all the questions pretty well. Crowdfunding is such a silly, unpredictable thing that a lot of it depends on the project or the people running it. Still it was rad to see how my experiences with raising money for ‘After The Lights Failed’ differed from the other panelists. And I got to sit in on the panel directly afterward about Podcasting. Granted, my podcast experience is solely from the “being on as a guest” and “listens to a lot of them” but I was able to give a little bit of insight into the vlog side of things which is kind of a video podcast when you think about it.
I also got to make a ton of gifs and you know how that makes me happy. Oh, and I got to see the Toast.
