I will forever read the minutes for every Meeting for Business from 3 new york city Meetings because although theyre boring as all shit, theyre also the only Western model of consensus decision making i know of that works well enough to keep a whole-ass religion functioning and we could all learn a thing or two from the procedure.

I dont know how to express to people that my practises of catholic rituals are as much in honour of my mexican diasporic culture as of the syncretism that is the only remnant of my ancestral indigenous religious practises i have access to. catholicism has never been about the catholic church for me; and im so happy that my quakerism has never been questioned by other quakers when i speak about the select ways i choose to practise catholicism as well.

i just made a Discord server for other quakers. I dont know if one exists, but I couldnt find one so I made one.

A Discord server for anyone who doesnt know, is an app that you have to download: works like an old school forum mixed with a high tech groupchat.
