One BC’s showroom is a contemporary and stylish space with high ceilings and  the front of the building made entirely of glass. However,this can cause issues for the garments in front of the window as they may be faded by the sun, so one of the tasks this week was to put up UV protection vinyl covers on each window, (harder than it sounds!) in order to protect the clothing. While we were cleaning and getting ready for the sunshine, we did some visual merchandising and organised the rest of the showroom and the newly made glittery menswear Jeans that I cut, sewed pockets and finished seams on! I always enjoy the visual tasks such as displays, laying out sample cards beautifully, styling or organising the workshop ready for clients; I think this reflects a pathway that could be pursued after graduation!
