We're babies in this. Some couples have been married for 50+ years. We're but mere babies in this with a 2 year old marriage. But in 2 years we've experienced a lot. A book. A film. A new company. Moving into our new home next week. A daily growing commitment to serve each other in clear view of our peers, And most importantly, a healthy, vibrant, man child. And it's dope to know that in a climate in which Black people are being targeted and slaughtered our shoebox diorama of a Black love story does resonate by way of the cheesy social media posts and public displays and personal appearances. Love is a given. Communication is a given. Respect is a given and though none of those will ever be perfect, we agreed that none of those would be our focus but instead, Serving each other would be the ongoing fulcrum by which our baby of a marriage will grow into a full blown specimen that God will smile and nod in approval of.
