It’s not that he sets out to greet his friend upside down. But it seems that the cosmos do indeed have a sense of humor, as evident in the fact that the moment he inverts is the moment a soft laugh and sheepish quirk of a smile appear in his sight. 

He huffs, cheeks coloring. “You have the worst timing.” Or perhaps the best, as a tug of a foot reveals the safety net has perhaps worked a bit too well in assuring new regulation space suits don’t launch their well meaning pilots beyond the atmosphere. “Fine. You can laugh, but if you do you gotta help me get outta here...” Is that a plea in his voice? Most decidedly not...

IT WAS A BLESSING AND A CURSE ; to be in an alternate timeline where Booster wasn’t a fraud , wasn’t considered to be the universal joke for all heroes everywhere . But at the same time , he never knew how to . . . REACT with individuals who were genuinely nice to him and didn’t look at him with derision . Like he had become so used to the mockery , the dislike , that kindness was something Booster COULDN’T compute .

Sad sentiment , but since when was anything in Booster’s life NOT SAD ?

The question makes him blink , thinks it over before turning his head to stare at his ass , ❛ Oh no , did someone stick - - - stick LIGHTS on my ass again ? ? ? Freakin’ . Last time it happened , I was in front of so many people and they called me Sun Ass for like THREE MONTHS , it was the worst . ❜

Booster twirls in place , straining to see if there was something bright on his ass before Wendell shakes his head and repeats his question again ; like Booster definitely DID NOT answer correctly . He pauses in his little struggle .

I definitely do not know the answer to this . Oh my god , I did NOT study for this test . He probably thinks I’m an idiot . I’m taking too long to answer . C’MON , BOOSTER , YOU CAN DO THIS !
